My Photography Obsession

Ever since my wonderful husband bought me a professional digital camera, I have been shooting photos everywhere we go. I have been thinking about how best to display the photos:  Facebook, Flickr, my blog.  I have decided to use Flickr for the most part, but post some here as well. My personal photos are on Facebook mainly to share with my family and friends in the US.

Here are some of my favorite photos.

Sunset in February on a Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor.

Philae Temple, Aswan, Egypt.

Valley of the Queens, Aswan, Egypt.

Karnak, Luxor, Egypt.

Mira won a Galabayya contest on the Nile Cruise. How lovely.

Sultana Ahmet (The Blue Mosque), Istanbul, Turkey

I LOVE your photos!!! They are just wonderful! And Mira looks great!!

I'll show the photos to Mom tonight. We are thinking about taking a trip to Aswan and Luxor after we get settled there.

Love and Hugs!

Colleen - Thanks !!! I loved Aswan and Luxor especially since I always heard about it and was lukewarm to the idea, but once we went on this trip it was unbelievable. January and February are the best times to travel to Upper Egypt.

Mira thought of the dots on the chin - as they do in Upper Egypt. I loved it. She won a sterling silver cartouche w/ her name engraved on it at the ship's gift shop. How swanky!

Love. Marian

April - Thanks! I love the new photograophy hobby I picked up. Fortunately, we live in a great part of the world for photography so I think it's a lot more of the surroundings than my talent. ;-)

Nice! I just came back from travelling in Egypt not too long ago. Really, the photos do not convey the same feeling of being in front of the monuments!
