I'm sorry you miss your grill. :( Just think of being with your husband. :) Hassan is already missing his grill, and he hasn't left it behind yet. There are many trade-offs that we make - US has great steak, but Egypt has shawarma that is just as good, if not better. And fish -- especially since your live in Alexandria, I'm sure it's the best.

You are right, the Shawrma here is excellent. Haven't had the fish yet, but hopefully soon.
There are so many things we give up, but I always try to think positive and be greatful for the things I do have here :)
